Here to support you through separation or divorce with compassion and empathy.

From experience we understand that you’ll be currently experiencing a roller coaster of emotions, that’s why we have put together some useful guidance to help you through this difficult time.

Take some time for yourself.

As hard as this might be, you can’t make sensible decisions when you are stressed. Take some time out for yourself because over the coming months, you will have some big decisions to make.

Don’t cut all contact.

There will be decisions that require you and your partner to agree on together. It doesn’t matter what form of communication you use but it is vital that you stay in contact with each other. It is also important to keep in touch with family members and friends who can offer you support and reassurance.

Keep a record.

Finances can be a source of contention therefore we recommend noting down as much about you and your partners finances as possible.  You may not remember every detail but having some information is a start.

Maintain your normal routines where possible.

Are there any children involved? If so, their needs must be a priority. Try to keep to your normal routines as much as possible and give your children the reassurance they need.

Seek legal advice.

There is help available, so make the most of it.  A way of ensuring that everything is divided equally and ‘by the book’ is to instruct a Solicitor.

Our family team are highly experienced and act with integrity, compassion and empathy to support their clients.  We highly recommend that you speak to a member of our team who can discuss your circumstances in greater detail and explore the various option available to you.
