Lawson West is Now an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP): What This Means for You

We are pleased to announce that our firm is now officially registered as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) with Companies House. As an ACSP, we’re authorised to verify identities and submit company information directly on behalf of our clients.

Why This Matters

The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) is introducing stricter identity verification and filing requirements. From 18 November 2025, all directors and persons with significant control (PSCs) must verify their identity before Companies House will accept filings and from spring 2026, only ACSPs will be able to file statutory information on behalf of clients.

Without an ACSP, business owners may face delays, rejected filings, or administrative burdens when trying to meet these new requirements.

What is an ACSP?

An ACSP is a business or individual authorised by Companies House to act as an intermediary in submitting company information and verifying identities under the ECCTA’s new rules. Only firms supervised under UK anti-money laundering (AML) regulations—like those regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority—can register.

• Verify identities of directors, PSCs, and others required to submit information to Companies House – ensuring compliance ahead of the November 2025 deadline.
• File company information directly, including incorporations, officer changes, and confirmation statements – ensuring compliance with the spring 2026 deadline.

• Maintain compliance records for seven years, as required by law—removing the burden from your business.
