Career and Experience

Fiona has over 20 years’ experience covering a full spectrum of commercial property transactions, Fiona provides clear practical advice and works with developers, landlords, tenants, individuals and companies acting on:

• Sale and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties
• Commercial leases
• Bridging finance and other secured lending
• Development work
• Land disposal and acquisition
• Auction purchase and sales.

Fiona has particular expertise in acting on development projects from site acquisition and funding through to completion and onward sale, advising on overage agreements, option and promotion agreements and conditional contracts.

Fiona has a keen interest in  property finance with experience in acting on bridging finance and other secured lending acting for both lenders and borrowers and is adept at managing fast paced and time critical matters.

Key transactions:

• Reviewed and advised a Promoter on several land promotion agreements in connection with residential development sites.
• Acted for borrower on £1.5 million bridging loan secured against 6 residential properties.
• Acting for buyer on auction purchase funding by bridging loan.
• Advised Trustees of a SIPP on property refinance and leaseback.
• Acting for a tenant on the grant of a lease of a newly built commercial unit on an industrial estate.
• Acting on disposal of land and property subject to overage provision over part of the land.

Interests/Hobbies

Outside of work Fiona is a keen runner and horse rider and is the Secretary on a horse welfare charity committee.
