What does this team do?

Our dedicated accounts team of professionals and qualified legal cashiers:

• Works with management to deliver the firm’s financial and pricing strategy.
• Keeps Lawson West Solicitors’ finances moving, retaining a healthy cashflow.
• Helps the firm to adhere to UKGAAP and compliance with Solicitors’ Accounts Rules guidelines on the transfer and porting of client money and financing of transactions.
• Works alongside all our client-facing professionals to ensures the right correspondence and safeguards are in place to protect funds being transferred or requested.
• Handles purchase orders and the purchase ledger.
• Checks and coordinates all client invoices and client account payments and reports to management on a regular basis.
• Raises invoices and credit notes.
• Works with our banks to ensure the best rates of interest and seamless transactions.
• Receives and releases funds on account for major transactions like home, property or business purchase.
• Chases our debtors.
• Coordinates employee payroll and pension contributions and deductions.
• Coordinates the firm’s donations to charity.
