This year, we’re celebrating a very special milestone for Fiona Wilson, Head of Family Law at Lawson West Solicitors, who has been qualified as a solicitor for 30 years.
Fiona qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and has spent three decades building an impressive career in Family Law. Throughout that time, she has supported countless clients through some of the most challenging and important periods of their lives, providing clear, practical and compassionate legal advice.
Fiona has extensive experience across a broad range of Family Law matters, including divorce and separation, financial arrangements and issues relating to children.
Her approach has always been centred around understanding each client’s individual circumstances and helping them make informed decisions about their future. Fiona believes in providing straightforward advice while working constructively to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.
Fiona joined Lawson West in 2022 and now leads our Family Law team, bringing with her many years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to both her clients and colleagues.
Thirty years of qualification represents a significant achievement, but for Fiona, the milestone is about more than the number of years.
Family Law is a particularly personal area of legal practice. Clients often come to a solicitor at times of uncertainty, stress and significant change. Fiona’s experience enables her to guide clients through these difficult circumstances with professionalism, empathy and a clear understanding of the issues involved.
Over three decades, the law and the way Family Law is practised have changed considerably. Fiona has continued to adapt throughout her career, keeping her knowledge and expertise up to date while maintaining the client-focused approach that has been central to her work.
Away from the office, Fiona enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening and reading. She is also a keen supporter of her sons and can regularly be found on the sidelines watching rugby.
While her career has undoubtedly been a major part of her life for the last 30 years, it’s clear that Fiona values the relationships she has built with clients, colleagues, friends and family along the way.
