Lawson West celebrates Lubna Ahmad’s training, development and Solicitor status
Experienced lawyer Lubna Ahmad, who joined Lawson West Solicitors’ Family Law department last year, has successfully and triumphantly obtained her Solicitor’s Practising Certificate (England and Wales), and is now a fully re-qualified Solicitor in the firm’s Family Law Team.

The talented and qualified solicitor with existing legal expertise in Asset Finance Litigation, Civil Litigation and Family Law, brings strong analytical skills, client-focused service, and effective case management experience to Lawson West.
Lubna added:
“My legal work has involved representing clients through complex disputes, negotiating settlements and relationships, delivering clear legal advice under pressure. After taking a 9-year career break to raise my family, I am delighted to now be fully retrained into Family Law, an area of law I really empathise with. I enjoy dedicating my time to helping others who face difficult or emotional relationship or child law issues.”
Before bringing up her family in Leicester, Lubna was formerly a qualified Solicitor in the Commercial Asset Finance & Litigation department of Gateley Legal in their Birmingham office, and a Legal Executive at Shoosmiths Solicitors in Northampton for nearly 5 years.
Lubna has always wanted to be a Solicitor. She studied hard at Nottingham Trent University, achieving a Batchelor of Law – LLB, passing the Legal Practice Course in 2011, and went on to train with the Institute of Legal Executives from 2005, studying Family Law, Civil Litigation, Debt Recovery and Conveyancing.
Not one to rest on her laurels, and whilst being a busy wife and mum, Lubna also studied and completed various courses during her time bringing up her family to continue to broaden her knowledge base.
