Lawson West Solicitors is proud to announce that Phoebe Skarlatos joins the firm’s partnership team from 1^st April 2026.

Phoebe Skarlatos TEP is the Head of Department and Legal Director of Lawson West’s Probate, Wills, Trusts and Court of Protection department. Phoebe has gone from strength to strength, starting her career ten years ago after joining as a post-LPC Paralegal, then Trainee Solicitor, then qualifying as a Solicitor in 2019.  In those ten years, Phoebe went on to manage the Probate, Wills & Trusts team and was promoted to Legal Director in 2024.

From an initial team of just 5 people, the Probate, Wills & Trusts team has now grown to be the largest legal advisory team in the firm and one of the largest in the county with over 17 solicitors and legal professionals assisting clients with their private legal needs.

Phoebe Skarlatos is not one to shy away from challenge or achievement, as well as a Law Degree and a Masters in Healthcare Ethics and Law from the University of Manchester, Phoebe spent another 2 years studying with the Society of Trusts and Estate Planning (STEP), the UK’s premier membership and training organisation dedicated to the highest professional standards of specialist knowledge in advising families across generations. Having successfully completed her STEP Diploma exams in 2025, she was recently awarded full TEP member status in February 2026. Each year, for the past 4 years, the team has been shortlisted at the British Wills and Probate Awards and fantastically, in 2025, won the national award “Private Client Firm of the Year – Boutique”. This, in addition to being named and recognised in the Legal 500 for the East Midlands region.

Legal Director and Head of Probate, Trusts and Wills at Lawson West Solicitors, Phoebe Skarlatos, has studied hard to obtain her STEP Diploma qualification.

Phoebe has received confirmation of her membership status of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) as a full member and permitted to adopt TEP accreditation status after her name.

Phoebe said of her Diploma and membership news:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have been admitted to the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, who are well known for their expertise in Private Client matters worldwide. STEP has provided me with the highest level of training in the area and my qualification only strengthens the team at Lawson West further. It’s great news that Lawson West now has two full STEP members, myself and Vicky Jones.”
