| Our review process is simple:
Step 1: You send us the legal documents you’d like reviewed in advance (e.g., shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, supplier contracts, employment contracts, finance agreements). Step 2: We meet for one hour (either at our offices or virtually via Teams) to discuss your business, current structure, future plans, growth aspirations, lending and finance obligations, succession planning, and any areas of concern. Step 3: After the meeting, we provide a written summary highlighting where additional legal work may be needed, along with a quote for likely costs if you choose to instruct us. Step 4: You’ll also receive a Red, Amber, Green summary: Red – urgent issues or risks Amber – actions to consider Green – positive areas that are in good shape Think of it as an MOT for your business – a practical, easy-to-understand overview that owners and directors find invaluable. |

Disclaimer – Business Legal Health Check
The £750 + VAT fee for the Business Legal Health Check will be credited only where the value of any follow‑up legal work instructed exceeds £750 + VAT. This credit is applied once, and solely to legal work that directly arises from issues identified during the Health Check. The credit applies only where follow‑up work meets our minimum instruction level. Smaller one‑off tasks fall outside the scope of the credit. The fee is credited against qualifying follow‑up legal work identified during the Health Check. Routine or minor standalone tasks do not qualify.
The credit cannot be used against: standalone, limited‑scope, or one‑off pieces of work valued below £750 + VAT (for example, drafting or reviewing a single employment contract); routine or minor tasks that fall below the minimum instruction level; work unrelated to the findings of the Health Check; or any work quoted on a fixed‑fee promotional basis. Examples of qualifying follow‑up work include: full contract and handbook overhauls; restructuring work; multi‑document reviews, which all reflect substantial legal projects rather than small, isolated tasks.
Lawson West Solicitors reserves the right to determine, at its discretion, whether the follow‑up work qualifies for application of the credit. This offer may be amended or withdrawn at any time.
