David brings many years of experience as a commercial property lawyer to the Commercial and Business Law team. Having previously worked as both a building site development lawyer in industry and a legal manager in the public sector, he has extensive experience of commercial property transactions, local government law and procedures as well as commercial landlord and tenant issues and general property law.

David is married to another property lawyer, enjoys watching football, reading and spending weekends with friends and family.

Katherine decided at the age of 12 that she was going to be a solicitor and has been working towards that goal ever since. Katherine joined Lawson-West as a residential conveyancer, having obtained an Honours Degree in Law with French Law and language from the University of Leicester. She enrolled at De Montfort University to study the Law Society's professional examinations on a part-time basis and was awarded a Law Society Prize for Excellence when she came top in her class. Katherine is a dedicated property lawyer and is currently studying for a specialist diploma in Landlord and Tennant Law.

Katherine is married and in her spare time is learning Italian and ballroom dancing. She admits that she can't cook and is more than happy to let someone else do the ironing but she does enjoy gardening.

Michael joined Lawson-West after leaving university with an Honours Degree in Law. He had previously worked for both the University of Leicester and at Cartwright King Solicitors.

Michael plays squash regularly, and is well on his way to becoming fluent in Japanese.

Michael says, "I always try to make the administrative and organisational elements run as smoothly as possible in order to make things easier for colleagues to give all their attention to our clients and the work we are doing for them."
