Effective from 1 October 2010 the National Minimum Wage will rise to:-
£5.93 per hour for workers aged 21 and over;
£4.92 per hour for workers aged 18 – 20 years;
£3.64 per hour for workers aged 16 – 17 years.
An Apprentice Minimum Wage will also be introduced. This will be £2.50 per hour for apprentices aged 19 or under or those aged over 19 in their first year of apprenticeship.
