Lawson-West Estate Agents of Uppingham Road, Leicester were asked to present trophies at Bushby Juniors’ Annual Presentation Evening on Saturday. The event, held at Leicester General Hospital Sports & Social Club attracted a great turnout from family and friends of the Club’s three teams.
Over 30 youngsters who play for the team’s under 7s, under 8s and under 12s squads were recognised for their commitment and hard work by a trophy, with several receiving additional awards for Players' Player, Manager’s Player, Supporters' Player and for special achievement.
Lawson-West have sponsored the current Under 8s team for the past two years, and were delighted to hand out the trophies to this age group. Marketing Manager Kathryn Greaves and Finance & Quality Director John Siddons attended the event, and received a framed photograph of the team, a bouquet of flowers and a crate of beer in return.
The Under 8s finished fourth in the league this year, scoring an impressive 48 goals and conceding only 19. Every single one of the players scored at least one goal this season, including the goalkeeper! John Siddons, who presented trophies for special merit commented: “As a community-based firm of solicitors and estate agents we are pleased to be able to provide support to such an enthusiastic local team. All these youngsters are clearly very talented and we wish them all the best for the future.”
