Employment Team grows in line with demand

Solicitors practice Lawson West LLP has announced two new additions to its Employment Law team, due to extensive growth in this area. The department is experiencing increasing demand from employees requiring professional help as more people lose their jobs unfairly, as well as from employers requiring specialist employment advice in managing employment issues in the workplace. Vaishali Thakerar joins the business from Greenwoods Solicitors LLP, while Carrie-Ann Randall transfers in to the department having chosen Employment Law as her specialism.

Vaishali Thakerar qualified as a Solicitor in 2005, and has extensive experience of employment law issues, having worked as both a consultant and solicitor. She gained a law degree from DeMontfort University, and her LPC from the College of Law in Birmingham.

Her role involves advising on a broad spectrum of employment related issues, taking matters from inception to tribunal. With extensive tribunal advocacy experience, during her career Vaishali has taken numerous claims to the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunals, for both employers and employees.

Carrie-Ann Randall joined Lawson-West last year from Harvey Ingram LLP. She will become a fully qualified Legal Executive this year, with a specialism in Employment Law. Her addition strengthens the department, which has enjoyed rapid growth since it was set up in early 2008 and anticipates another strong year due to a volatile employment market.
