Lawson-West support calls from the police for any witnesses to provide information about an unprovoked attack involving one of our clients. Our client had just gone outside a local pub to have a cigarette when he was knocked unconscious after an attack.
Friends arranged a taxi home for our client and the next morning his girlfriend drove him to the Leicester Royal Infirmary where he had keyhole surgery to fit a metal plate to his jaw bone, which was broken in the attack. Our client had won the jackpot on a fruit machine in the pub and lost the £70 winnings. However, the attackers did not take his wallet or mobile phone.
The attack happened at around 11.50 pm on 7 December near the Loaded Dog pub. Although the assault did not happen inside the pub, pub staff are assisting police with their inquiries. Our client cannot remember any specific details of his attackers. Unfortunately CCTV cameras in the area were facing away from where the assault took place. If you have any information about the assault, please contact PC Hayley Price on 0116 222 2222.
Lawson-West are assisting our client with a Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority claim for compensation in respect of his injuries.
