Lawson-West your legal partner for life
Leicester Solicitors Lawson-West are announcing details of 46 million Nokia BL-5C batteries manufactured before November 2006, that are causing mobile phones to overheat and possibly dislodge or explode causing the user to suffer burns.

Personal Injury Solicitor Mark Evans explained, “We’ve seen stories of a Nokia phone with one of these batteries being left to charge overnight, the user woke to smell burning and went to investigate. She got hit by burning liquid when the phone exploded, causing burns and possible scarring. Some burns as a result of these faulty batteries have burns severe enough for people to have been hospitalised. Nokia have issued a product advisory notice and have stated they will take responsibility if an original Nokia product is proven to have caused damage. Some users have been unaware of the risks even though they have received the product advisory notice.”

Mark continued; “You will need specialist legal help if you want to claim compensation for burns and other personal injuries caused by these batteries overheating. If a faulty product breaks or fails in such a way that causes you injuries, don’t just accept it, get advice from solicitors. It won’t cost you anything to find out where you stand.”
