New Appointment at Lawson-West's Harborough Branch

Lawson-West Solicitors of Market Harborough are pleased to announce the appointment of Alistair Dobson as Partner. Alistair has been with the company since March 2005, in the role of Assistant Family Solicitor. David Heys, Head of Lawson-West’s Lawyers for Business team in Leicester has also been appointed as Partner. The two appointments strengthen the management team during a period of growth.

Having gained a law degree from Huddersfield University in 1993, Alistair worked in private practice in Doncaster for several years before moving to Leicestershire. He first became interested in family law - namely separation, divorce and childcare issues - during his initial training period, and decided to specialise in this area in 1996. Prior to joining Lawson-West, he worked for Leicestershire solicitors Bray & Bray.

Alistair has been instrumental in the establishment of the Lawson-West office in Market Harborough, which specialises in family law. His focus now is to help continue the expansion and progression of the office.

Alistair commented: “The challenge I face in my role is to try and make a distressing situation as easy as possible for my clients. By making things run smoothly, we try to take as much pressure as possible off them, during an emotional and difficult time.”

When he’s not at work, Alistair enjoys travelling and extreme sports, including snowboarding.
