With the publication of the Ombudsman for Estate Agent’s annual report showing a rise in complaints of 41% in 2006, Lawson-West Estate Agents have re-launched a money back guarantee scheme to celebrate the fact that they have never received a complaint to the Ombudsman.

The guarantee entitles customers to a £250 reduction in fees, if Lawson-West fail to meet the promises set out in the guarantee. The company wishes to reinforce its commitment to both customer service and the ‘Which? We Promise’ code for Estate Agents, launched in 2004. The guarantee, which is based on the Which? code sets out that Lawson-West will value a customer’s property accurately, declare any conflict of interest and act ethically as well as ensuring that customers understand the contract they sign.

Designed to inspire confidence in the service customers will receive, the guarantee is sent out to every prospective home buyer and seller.

Director of Estate Agency Nigel Weller commented, “We are justifiably proud of our track record in never having received a complaint, but agree with the Ombudsman that no Estate Agency can afford to be complacent. Our guarantee clearly demonstrates our commitment to maintaining high levels of customer service.”
