Schweppes Tonic Water Bottles: explosion caused scarring

Solicitors Lawson-West are announcing details of potentially faulty Schweppes Tonic Water bottles. It appears that the batch code is 348EM622:02 BBE Dec 07 barcoded 42099468. It it believed that the problem is a fault in production which has left the glass weakened and prone to breaking.

Personal Injury Solicitor Mark Evans explained, “We have had a client who was standing near a chiller unit when a bottle of Schweppes Tonic Water exploded, without her even touching it. The exploded glass caused a severe gash, which required stitches, to her leg. Unfortunately this will also leave a scar. We are raising awareness of this. Our client was working in a bar when the accident happened, but it could have just as easily happened at home.”
