New Senior Partner at Lawson-West

Leicestershire law firm, Lawson-West has appointed Janet Hopkins as Senior Partner.

Janet, (pictured right) who takes over from Keith Lawson-West, has been head of the Family Law Department for 15 years and for the past 12 months has been instrumental in setting up the Firm's fifth office, based in the centre of Market Harborough.

James Haworth, Partner, takes over from Janet as Head of the Family Law Department; Keith Lawson-West, who founded the firm 28 years ago, will continue to be closely involved in the Personal Injury and Estate Agency areas of the business, and remains Marketing Partner.

Janet commented, "I am conscious of the confidence my Partners have expressed in allowing me to take on the role of Senior Partner. Lawson-West has expanded significantly over recent years under Keith's guidance and I am looking forward to steering the Firm through the next stages of its development. Much of it's success has been built around our core values of exceeding client expectations and involving all our staff in the development of the business, and this will continue."

Keith Lawson-West added "I am very pleased to be working alongside Janet in her new role. Lawson-West is highly regarded in the communities we service and we are well placed, with a strong management team, to continue to develop and expand the provision of legal and estate agency services."

Janet will continue to specialise in Family Law work, particularly those matters relating to children as a result of divorce or seperation and also the resolution of the financial relationship between separating couples.
