A recent community initiative organised by Lawson-West Solicitor’s conveyancing department has created two new beautiful ‘moving home’ cards, for the staff to send out to clients, after their case is completed and they have successfully moved home.
Two schools took part, The Meadow Community Primary School based in Wigston and Humberstone Junior School near Lawson-West’s Uppingham Road branch.
The children were asked to draw a picture of what moving home meant to them. Jasmine Hassan, age 6 won the competition from Meadow Community Primary school and Katie Bawn age 9 won from Humberstone Junior School.
David Heys, Head of the Conveyancing Department commented:
“We had a fabulous response to the competition and it was hard work
choosing the winners. We are however really pleased with the results and we
hope they are a hit with our clients.”
Headteacher at Humberstone Junior School, Jane Pugh commented:
“We are delighted that the children’s entries have been so successful. We think it’s very important to make possible links within the community so that children can begin to understand the different roles that companies and
businesses have within the wider world. Children can also realise that skills
taught in school can be used beyond the classroom.”
The cards are due to be launched in January.
